Beaded Skulls
Embellishing skulls with seed beads was inspired by the Mexican Huichol art. All of the natural skulls I use are supplied by legitimate* retailers. Human skulls are 3D prints. The first step is to make any necessary repairs or alterations depending on desired themes. To fill large cavities I use a spray foam. Next, the beads are applied. The Huichol method applies the beads individually on end, whereas I string the seed beads on a clear monofilament line using a motorized bead threader. The beads are then glued to the skull using a professional clear super glue (cyanoacrylate). Finally, upon completion, the skull is applied to the base which has been designed and made in advance.
